On Monday, August 31, we will celebrate the start of the 2026/27 academic year at the Theater aan het Vrijthof. This time, of course, this opening is all about the 50th anniversary of Maastricht University. We look back, but especially forward to the next 50 years.

It promises to be a special afternoon with speeches, lectures, performances and the awards of the Hustinx Prize and the UM Student Award. Put the date in your agenda in advance. More information will follow.
