On Monday, August 31st, we will celebrate the start of the 2026/27 academic year at the Theater aan het Vrijthof. This year, the ceremony will naturally revolve entirely around Maastricht University's 50th anniversary. With the theme "UM100: Building the next 50 years together," we will look ahead to the future together.

It promises to be a special afternoon featuring speeches, lectures, performances, and the presentation of the Hustinx Science Award and the UM Student Prize. Save the date. More information will follow.
