On Monday, 31 August, we will celebrate the start of the 2026/27 academic year at the Theater aan het Vrijthof. This year, the opening will of course be entirely dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Maastricht University. We will look back, but above all look ahead to the next 50 years.

It promises to be a special afternoon featuring speeches, lectures, performances, and the presentation of the Hustinx Prize and the UM Student Prize. Please mark the date in your diary. More information will follow.
