UM International Staff Week
Programme
As the most international university in the Netherlands and one of the best young universities in the world, Maastricht University (UM) aims to promote the exchange of best practices in the field of internationalisation policy. For this purpose, UM will organise its second International Staff Week in Maastricht between 9-11 June 2026.
Taking place in the context of UM’s 50th anniversary, the Staff Week presents an attractive programme consisting of presentations, workshops and discussion sessions on a wide a range of current topics in higher education internationalisation policy. These include the role of universities in the modern era, the design of effective partnerships in education and research, Problem-Based Learning and knowledge valorisation. Furthermore, the programme will include opportunities for networking with the wider UM community and one-on-one meetings between attending university staff members.
Registration
You can register for the UM International Staff Week via the website. The application deadline is 1 February 2026. 50 spots are available. A selection will take place in case there are more registrations than places available. This selection will be based on both profile and motivation.
