AI Dichtbij (Parkstad)
Programme
AI is closer than you think: in search engines, social media, navigation and translation services. But what exactly is artificial intelligence? And how can you start using it yourself? During AI Dichtbij, organised by Maastricht University and SVO|PL, you’ll discover how to use generative AI effectively and responsibly in your everyday life, studies or work.
Dr Kurt Driessens, Associate Professor in the Department of Advanced Computing Sciences at Maastricht University, will guide you through the possibilities of AI. You’ll explore different applications, including free tools, and learn how to write clear prompts and instructions to get useful results.
We’ll start with refreshments and a chance to meet one another, followed by an accessible talk with relatable examples. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and try AI yourself. Please bring your own phone, tablet or laptop if you’d like to practise; a tablet or laptop is preferable.
